Morning time in Java Highest Peaks (Part 1)

Again again and again. Poor again. Malang's atmosphere indeed often makes anyone want to visit again. Well, although I have been to Malang several times, I was only allowed to travel to the highest mountain in Java, namely Mount Semeru. After a failed trip about a year ago, a tragedy was lost by some climbers which caused the hiking trail to close. Even though all the preparations have been made, all that is left is to just sit on the Matarmaja train that has been booked well in advance. Still, humans can only plan, maybe this is called not a soul mate * eh, it means by the mountain.

This trip was accompanied by a gang of margarine who yesterday gave many stories on the way to the top of Indrapura, Kerinci. Starting from the meet-up agenda to exchange photos, but at the end of the event, there was a date set for a longer trip to Semeru. This is part of their "poison". Haha

Initially, 6 people had come from Jakarta plus one more youngest sister, Bella. On the day of departure there were a number of those who suddenly failed to participate (including Anjar and Untung) and this oath made me happy but in the end, only three people left, namely me, bang Mulya and bang Tynol. We depart by Matarmaja train from Pasar Senen station with the aim of Malang station which departs at 3:15 PM

The trip to Malang is a long journey and takes approximately 16 hours. The first 3 hours arrived in Cirebon Perujakan, at this station, the train stops quite long about 15 minutes and there are rice stalls that sell various Rames rice menus so for those who don't want to buy train food that is quite expensive can buy food here which is priced 10-15 thousand each pack. And we also do not forget to fill the stomach here. But don't be surprised by the extremely crowded conditions because Cirebon Perujakan station is a favorite place for pedestrians to buy cheap food.

In the train Towards the highest peak of Java island
The train drove again and after 2 hours finally arrived at Pekalongan station, the time for Adek to join. The journey is still very long so most of the time we use to rest.

After a long journey, we finally arrived in the city of Malang. Good morning Malang! (ask for greetings). The first place we looked for was a place to eat because indeed that morning everyone felt hungry. In front of the station, there is a park complete with toilets and various stalls that serve various menus. We also do not want to be outdone by the others, directly hunting food for breakfast before heading to the Tumpang Market.

After we are full we immediately look for transportation to the overlapping market. I forgot what the code is, but this transport is the light blue salted egg. Because this transportation is not the route to the Tumpang Market, we have to be very clever in negotiating and finally, we get a price of Rp. 80,000 for all transportation to the Tumpang Market. In less than an hour we arrived and Ndut and his friend Dedik had arrived earlier.

When it was early morning at 10.00 we continued to buy logistics at the market which was located opposite the base camp. In this base camp, we take care of all kinds of permits such as collecting health certificates and photocopies of KTPs and here also a jeep rental is provided which will take us to Ranupani Village. Again, you have to be smart in negotiating a jeep because for once transporting a jeep rental is quite expensive, maybe because it is still quite far away and the streets are fairly extreme. After the deal with the price and logistics were complete, we continued the trip for about 3 hours to the village of Ranupani as the climbing gate of Mount Semeru. One jeep can be filled by 9 people and at that time 3 climbers joined us, not bad because it can save a little expense.

After arriving in the village of Ranupani, the permits that had been taken care of were taken to the TNBTS office (Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park) to get a climbing reaction by paying around 30 - 40 thousand (I forget how much) and the good thing is the management always gives briefings to climbers about various information that climbers must know about Mount Semeru.
