Status Pending Bukan Error: Cara SIMRS Menjadi Lebih Manusiawi

Beberapa tahun lalu, saya panik karena data resep pasien “gak masuk”. Padahal dokter udah klik SIMPAN. Saya langsung curiga: “Ini error database kah? Gagal kirim ke BPJS? Atau ngadat karena server ngambek?” Ternyata… statusnya cuma *pending*.

Justru dia penyelamat.

Panik Karena Gak Ada Kepastian

  • Success: “Selesai! Aman, lanjutkan hidup.”
  • Failed: “Maaf, aku butuh bantuan manusia…”

Dan user butuh tahu. Dokter butuh tahu. Admin butuh tahu.

  • SOAP → disimpan duluan, wajib sukses
  • Resep, Penunjang, SEP → masuk queue
  • Status tiap job ditulis di tabel log

Retry otomatis dilakukan berdasarkan status pending. Kalau gagal 3x, baru ditandai failed. Tapi semuanya tetap tercatat.

Perbandingan Sistem Tanpa vs Dengan Status

AspekTanpa StatusDengan Status
Respons saat simpan gagal Diam, lalu timeout Dikasih tahu: “Pending retry ke-2”
Dokter tahu hasilnya? Tidak Ya, ada log di UI
Debugging oleh IT Nyari jarum di jerami Cukup baca status & waktu error

Tips Biar SIMRS Lebih Manusiawi

  • Gunakan enum status di tabel: `pending`, `success`, `failed`
  • Tampilkan status di UI dengan warna/ikon
  • Retry job otomatis 3–5 kali sebelum failed
  • Sediakan dashboard log realtime (Laravel Horizon, misalnya)

Penutup: Kita pun Kadang Butuh Pending

Pending Is Not an Error: Let Your SIMRS Be More Human

A few years ago, I panicked because a patient’s prescription didn’t get saved. The doctor had clicked SAVE. Turns out… it was just pending.

Why We Panic

Just like when your WhatsApp message stays on one tick — you don't know if it’s pending, failed, or ghosted. SIMRS often behaves the same: silent failure. And that’s worse than an actual error.

Status = Communication

  • Pending: "I’m working on it..."
  • Success: "Done! All good."
  • Failed: "Sorry, I need a human..."

And users need to know. Not knowing is worse.

Healthy Queue Design

  • Save SOAP first — must succeed
  • Put others (prescriptions, lab, SEP) into a queue
  • Track status in log tables
  • Auto-retry failed jobs

Research Says...

According to ACM research 2020, systems that show progress/status build more user trust — even if the process isn’t finished yet.

Table Comparison

AspectNo StatusWith Status
When save fails Silent timeout “Retry 2 in progress”
Doctor knows result? No Yes
Debugging Need guesswork Just read the log

Closing: Even Humans Need Pending

Maybe it's not just systems that need pending status. We do too. Not everything can succeed instantly. Sometimes we need time. What matters most: transparency and retry.
