Infused Water Anti-Miskin: Daun Mint Bekas Nasi Padang & Jeruk Nipis Sisa Es Teh
Pernah nggak sih lo ngerasa pengen hidup sehat, tapi dompet lo cuma cukup buat beli indomie sama kopi sachet? Gue sering. Banget.
Jadi gue coba. Gue cemplungin sisa daun mint ke botol kaca, tambahin irisan jeruk nipis sisa es teh semalam, kasih air galon, masukin kulkas. Hasilnya… surprisingly enak. Segar. Nggak malu-maluin lah.
1. Jangan buang daun mint gratisan dari nasi padang.
Itu bukan garnish. Itu potensi. Cuci, simpan di kulkas. Siapa tahu minggu depan lo punya alasan buat hidup lebih segar.
2. Jeruk nipis sisa es teh bisa diselamatkan.
Potong, masukin air dingin.
3. Gunakan botol bekas selai atau sirup.
Nggak usah beli mason jar. Yang penting bersih dan bisa ditutup. Estetik itu urusan belakangan.
4. Tambahin air galon, bukan air keran.
Biar tetap punya batas minimal sehat. Walau kita rebel, tetap logis ya bestie.
5. Simpan di kulkas semalaman, kasih nama biar lucu.
Misal: “Infused Water Anti-Nangis Saat Liat Saldo.”

Infused Water for the Broke: Mint from Nasi Padang & Lime Leftover from Iced Tea
Ever wanted to be healthy, but your wallet said, “Nope, just instant noodles and 3-in-1 coffee for you”? Same. Been there. Sometimes I open the fridge and find half a lime (leftover from last night’s iced tea) and some mint leaves that magically came with my nasi padang. And from that, this absurd idea was born.
In a world full of colorful infused water on Instagram, I made the “low budget, still hopeful” version. No need to hunt down dragon fruit from an organic store or pay 5 bucks for a bottle of water labeled “detox.” C’mon, even climbing the stairs is detox, right?
So what if we made infused water from leftover kitchen herbs? Not only budget-friendly, but it’s also a quiet rebellion against health trends oversaturated with marketing jargon.
I tried. Dumped leftover mint in a jar, added the lime from last night’s tea, filled it with clean water, refrigerated it. The result? Shockingly good. Refreshing. Not Instagram-worthy, but it does its job. It tastes like life — not perfect, but bearable.
We're often told that healthy living has to be expensive. Cold-pressed juices, meal prep subscriptions, virtual yoga with monthly fees. But sometimes all we need is water, leaves, and time. Seriously.
And more importantly: mindset. Not “I must be healthy to stay productive,” but “I want to care for myself, even if it’s slow and scrappy.”
Because let’s be real, it’s exhausting to live in a digital world full of performance. On IG: people drinking kale juice. On Twitter: people detoxing from social media while posting about it. On Shopee: tumblers on flash sale. In my wallet: coins. In my heart: thirst. So I made my own version. Infused water for the broke.
If you're also in that phase of “not having much but still want to stay sane and healthy,” here are some absurdly practical tips:
1. Don’t throw away free mint leaves from nasi padang.
They’re not garnish. They’re potential. Wash and store them in the fridge. Someday you might crave freshness.
2. Leftover lime slices can be rescued.
Slice them, dunk in cold water. Tastes like the kind of water served at 2-star hotels trying to act fancy.
3. Use recycled jars.
No need to buy mason jars. Clean and sealable is enough. Aesthetic is secondary.
4. Use gallon water, not tap.
Stay semi-safe. We’re rebels, but not irrational, okay?
5. Refrigerate overnight and give it a silly name.
Example: “Infused Water So I Don’t Cry at My Bank Balance.” Sometimes, that’s all the joy you need.
In the end, being healthy isn’t about chasing trends — it’s about surviving with a sense of humor. So instead of comparing yourself to that girl with a glass tumbler in a café, try your own version. Who knows, you might discover a new flavor that’s more you.
If you’ve tried similar experiments, drop a comment! Or got absurd herbs that could work in water? I’m down to try them too!
